After pickup from Central Zurich or the airport, travel through the northern Switzerland countryside close to the German border, passing gently rolling vineyards. Pass quaint farming villages, admiring the traditional frame houses.

Stop At: Rhine Falls, Rheinfallquai, Neuhausen am Rheinfall 8212 Switzerland

ou will have a photo stop at the medieval Laufen Castle.

Arrive at Rhine Falls, Europe's biggest waterfall at 450 feet (150 meters) wide and 75 feet (23 meters) tall. Savor an hour of free time to capture photos and admire the falls from different perspectives. Take an optional boat ride (June to August only and not included in price) on the river Rhein to see the falls from the front.

Throughout your 3.5-hour Rhine Falls tour, your informative guide will tell you more about the sights you see and the history and culture of northern Switzerland.

On your way back you will pass through Schaffhausen, where you can see the distinctive circular Munot Fortress, which was built in the 16th century.

Make your way back to Zurich, stopping at the airport where your may choose to end your tour. In fact, this Rhine Falls tour is a wonderful option if you need to return to Zurich airport for a flight departing after 2pm. Check-in luggage is permitted on the coach and your airport arrival will be at approximately 12:15pm.

This tour is also a great way to start your visit to Switzerland if you have an early morning arrival. You can finish your tour at Sihlquai Bus Terminal and easily travel to other locations in Zurich.

The tour guide was very good with trying to accommodate everyone. It is extremely hard to coordinate people. Nearly impossible when from many different speaking different languages. Had a lovely time we be nice to see the time at Rhein Falls longer then one hour.

The waterfalls was nice but the time at waterfall was fairly short.

If you like leisurely tours with lots of scenery, then this is for you. I was not as excited by the falls as I thought I would be, as they are not as impressive as many others in the world. But, if you just want a day out in nature, then this tour is a good way to do it.
