Intermediate Surf Lessons In Marin

Instructor Details:

Born and raised in Marin County, I grew up surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. I've worked as a raft guide, mountain bike guide, snowboard instructor, glacier guide, surf instructor and personal trainer, in many different places. My passion is being outside and bringing a mindful awareness to my adventures. I believe in the positive power and benefits of meditation, and often incorporate meditation or some type of mindful practice into my adventures. When I’m not hanging out with my two amazing kids, you will find me leading an adventure, or out on one myself!

Activity Summary:

This two and a half hour follow-up lesson is designed for people who have previously taken at least one surfing lesson and would like to advance to an intermediate level. In this lesson we will work on progressing from riding the whitewater to riding the face of the wave. Our goal is to enable you to achieve the following: paddling into your own waves; proper wave judgment; dropping into the unbroken wave face and progressing to turning on the face of the wave. We will also advise you about proper equipment for becoming a proficient surfer.

Equipment Rental:

You can rent a surfboard, wetsuit and booties from 2 Mile surf shop for 40.00. Carpooling is highly encouraged, especially on the weekends. Let us know if you have your own gear
