Our engaging, informed, and passionate guide will make sure your visit to the Louvre turns out to be among the most memorable moments of your trip to Paris.
The Louvre’s layout as a royal palace was not intended to function as a museum; the sprawling structure has nearly 10 miles of galleries. Trust your guide to navigate the halls, taking you efficiently to the most important works, and pointing out numerous lesser known beauties that you might have passed without noticing. You might appreciate the French Crown Jewels, Egyptian antiquities many thousands of years old, sculptural wonders by Michelangelo, and large-format canvases such as Liberty Leading the People and the Coronation of Napoleon.

amazing tour with a very knowledgeable guide
I can't say enough positive things about this tour! My daughter and I were given a tour of the Louvre by Julian he was an amazing guide. He made sure we got to see all of the most famous works of art in the museum like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. He pointed out many things we would have missed had we tried to view the museum on our own, and he led us skillfully through a very crowded museum. We never felt rushed and we never felt ignorant on our lack of knowledge about French history or the works of arts in the Lourve. I feel we learned more and saw more on this tour then we would have had we gone to the Louvre on our own for a full day. I would recommend booking a morning tour as you can stay in the museum as long as you'd like after the tour is over. We, however, had another commitment later in the day, so we couldn't stay much longer. Other great things about this tour is you do not have to wait in the extremely long line to purchase your own tickets, and there are places to eat in the museum, so you can go on the tour, have lunch, then stay longer and see more. Finally, Julian was truly a wonderful, knowledgeable guide.
Herve and Memories DMC France were amazing. Very small private your just one other person with me. I learned more in 2 hours with Herve then 4 years of history in high school. One of the best Louvre tours I have ever taken. Ample time to see highlights. Honestly, 2 hours isn't enough so book a longer tour or do it over a couple days. But Herve was a great guide and this company, small and new, did a fabulous job. Wish them the best of luck! One of my favorite moments of my trip to Paris.
This tour made our visit, I fully recommend you book it. Herve' was so knowledgeable and pleasant to be with, we learnt and saw so much more by being with him. He led us through the queues with minimal delay and guided us to all the important works, many of which I was not aware of. If you want to reduce the stress and enjoy the visit to The Louvre use this tour.
A real highlight of our time in Paris! Was really intimidated at the thought of tackling the Louvre on our own so really glad we booked this small group tour. Herve, our guide, was incredible - so much knowledge of the art, artistic movements and their historic context, and the Louvre itself. Herve is so very passionate about the topics he covers - he truly engages you throughout the tour. With so much to see, the tour is beautifully designed to focus on a few major pieces in each area while allowing enough time time so you don't feel rushed. With the small-group tour you basically have a personal tour guide you can easily hear and engage with and who adapts to any mobility issues in the group. If you only have a few hours to visit the Louvre, I can't think of a better way than this tour.
