Your day trip starts with pickup at your Paris hotel by your private guide for the drive to your first stop, Giverny.

Learn from your driver-guide about the life and history of Claude Monet, who lived at his home in Giverny from 1883 to 1926, painting in the garden and at his water lily pond, which you'll see. As you cross the Japanese bridge, picture the artist himself at work on one of his Impressionist masterpieces. You'll have time for lunch (own expense) in the town of Giverny, on the Epte River, before continuing to Versailles.

When you reach the palace, commissioned by Louis XIV, skip the ticket line with your guide to begin your exploration of this incredible royal home. Get lost in the grandeur of what life was like for the French aristocracy as you see the Grand Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the Queen’s Apartment, and more, staring in awe at the opulent architecture and learning facts from your guide. Outside, take in the French garden and fountains.

Your day trip ends with return to Paris for drop-off at your hotel or another central location, if you wish.

We only had a few days in Paris, so we decided to do both Giverny and Versailles in one day. We are very happy we had the opportunity to teach our kids about Monet and see his home and gardens. Lunch was at a very picturesque restaurant. They had great Quiche! . Then we headed to Versailles. I think we got what we wanted, learned lots about the history of the era. Our guide was lot of fun. My two boys 13 and 11 enjoyed both experiences. Highly recommend it.

Milan was a wonderful guide, friendly and helpful. Monet's garden was stunningly beautiful, it was exactly like being in one of his paintings. Our guide for Versailles was Francesca, her passion and enthusiasm made the palace come alive for us. She was also fantastic at making our pictures look like we were the only ones there although the place was actually teeming with other tourists! All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
