Stop At: Empire Vacations Day Tours - New York, 777 8th Ave, New York City, NY 10036-7009
Beginning in New York heading south, you will pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland before arriving at Capitol Hill. Your tour will begin with a stop to Arlington Cemetery to visit JFK's gravesite. Move further into Washington DC and you'll see the Capitol, Senate and White House, the core of the US government. Your tour of Washington DC continues to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum before visiting the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam and Korea memorials for exploring and pictures.
Late in the afternoon you'll embark on a panoramic city tour before departing Washington DC for an early-evening arrival in New York City.
Please Note: This tour is scheduled to stop in front of the White House, the Capitol and the Senate for commentary and picture taking. However please note that sometimes this is not possible due to security issues in Washington. In the event of this occurring, tour will be adjusted accordingly.

Veterans of every American war from the Revolution to the country's most recent conflicts are buried at Arlington, which was officially declared a military cemetery in 1864. Enjoyed seeing the sites and everything that was advertised was covered but we were dissappointed with the tour guide. We could hear her on the coach but at the sites she was unable to be heard properly and made no effort to wait until we all gathered close aroung her. It was unfortunate that it rained heavily at Arlington. We noticed that other tour guides were organised with ponchos for their tourists but our guide was reluctant even to let us go into the tourist shop to buy our own ponchos until we all insisted. She was not very caring. It just goes to show how a poor guide can spoil a good tour. All of the other tours we booked through Viator were excellent.
There was an amazing amount of interesting attractions to see. Plenty of good facts given to us. Photo opportunities available.
Long day but well worth it. Both drivers and tour guides were very good. The day was running behind so only had half hour at the Arlington Cemetary. All other sites were covered with plenty of time to spare
I did this tour on 6/15/19. The sights in DC were awesome. However, my complaint is that my tour guide would speak in German then say it again in English. I felt like I was on a tour where my tour guide was giving two totally separate tours at the same time. It was confusing, annoying, and I felt short changed. If she was not giving two separate tours, she could have offered even more information and attention to the English speaking group. Nowhere in the description of this tour does it say the tour guide would be doing a English and German tour at the same time. I purchased the English tour! There was a specific option for that at booking! I would not do this tour again because of this issue. Do visit DC, but use a vendor that does the tour only in your language! Also, please realize this tour is from 7 am- 10 pm.
We stayed in NYC for a few days and took a day tour of the Washington monuments and sightseeing the city.
There was no issue with the tour operator, guide, or anything to with viator. But I wouldn’t recommend DC as a place to see. DC is a disappointing destination. But the facilities and guide were 10/10
Brian was a wonderful tour guide so much knowledge and charisma. The government shutdown was on so we didn't get to see everything. But still an enjoyable day.
I would stay far away from this tour if you have kiddos. It's an excruciatingly long day, 645am-10pm. Our guide was subpar and did not seem personable or try to get to know us at all. He just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. The stops are short and chaotic and extremely packed. About 10ish hours of driving so really tough on everyone by the end. We saw a lot but would not do this again.
A very long day but worth every dollar, good tour guide and 2 drivers who changed on the Delaware border.We saw all the sites in Washington and had plenty of time to visit the Smithsonian museums.Plenty of scheduled breaks at appropriate times.
I did this tour during a week long trip to NYC. This was a very long day as I was at the Gray Line Visitor Centre at about 6:15am. My hotel was only a few minutes walk so that helped. A representative came and directed me where to wait. The tour leader seemed very knowledgeable and was quite engaging. We did have some rest stops along the way. Overall got to see the main places, such as Arlington cemetery, the White House, Capitol Hill. Also passed through a number of states such as Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland on the way. One thing is that it did rain heavily in DC for a couple of hours. On the way back I got a great view of the Manhattan skyline at night. I got back to NYC at approximately 10pm. Overall this trip is definitely worth doing.

Excellent. Short but worth it.learned a lot. Our tour guide Eddie was knowledgable. Weather was a bit hot but did not mind it at all. The second driver was kind of rough. The first driver was better
