Admire the major sights in Munich on a 1-hour coach tour before heading south to Bavaria Film City. Learn about the studio’s long tradition during a 90-minute guided visit through its premises and see what goes on behind the scenes of television and motion picture sets.

Your 1-hour city coach tour starts at Munich central station and introduces you to the most outstanding sights in Munich, such as Königsplatz, Schwabing and the city-centre streets. The coach then takes you to Munich’s southern fringes at Geiselgasteig, where Bavaria Film City is located.

On a 90-minute tour of Bavaria Film City's premises, 3,229,173 sq ft (300,000 sq metre), your guide takes you to see well-known TV sets and shares details about the filming. Walk through original studios and street sets and find out what the daily work of film professionals is like as films have been made here since 1919. Discover sets of film classics and telenovelas or become a star yourself in front of the camera before making your way back to the city centre.

This was supposed to be an English speaking tour, but most of the tourists were German speaking and the Guide spent an inordinate amount of time talking in German, a language which we do not know. That part was VERY disappointing and we told the Guide our thoughts. The movie studio was much better because the Studio Guide spoke to us in English and spent an equal amount of time speaking German to the majority of the group.

The tour would have been great if I had understood German. I signed up for an English tour, but we were the only ones there not speaking German, so what was said in English was very brief and made us feel like we were bothering the others.The tour guides were very welcoming and friendly, but it doesn't really help much when you don't understand what is being said. However, this is a great tour if you understand German.

Very nice tour, informative, suitable for a family and covers most of Munich major sites. The kids had much of fun in the Bavaria Film Studio.
