Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII.

Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List.

Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history.

Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory.

Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings.

After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

This is a very good tour but it is NOT about Schindler, althought he is mentioned several times. You get a very good feeling for what went on in Krakow during the Nazi occupation with many good archival pictures and items. Our guide was very thorough and explained things well, in an easy to understand way. So much of “Schindler’s List” was not accurate, I think that’s why they do not focus on him and the good (and bad) things he did. But this tour is definitely worthwhile

Meeting place said meet at Film Café - there is no such thing and the workers at the place were not aware of where to meet. Even called the tour company and they said the cafe was the right spot to meet. Glad I arrived early to walk around and finally found the group by the lockers, but caused panic that I was going to miss the tour. Tour guide made sure everyone was gathered around before talking so everyone could hear. This was more of a museum about the war, and not a lot of specifics on Schindler and his acts during the war.

My coworker and I took this tour so that we could get an English-speaking guide to take us through the museum. It's a tight, crowded place, but our guide did an excellent job of keeping us out of traffic and telling us the most important details of each room. It was a very thorough tour and I feel like we saw most of the museum. We didn't feel rushed or in anyone's way. I learned a lot by going to this museum and am very glad I did.

Had a lot of information on the people who were affected by the war. Parts of it were very hard to get my mind around. The horrible conditions of how the Jews were treated. I have read up on Oskar Schindler and his wife, but there was so much more information given. I wouldnt suggest for children.

Good tour, excellent guide. What I disliked was that others kept trying to join the tour, so our guide kept having to stop her commentary to tell them to move on! Perhaps individual headsets would be better.

the was a very informative tour through the old factory which had been turned into a museum depicting the life of he Polish people during WW2. The only thing we found was at some points we had difficulty hearing what was being said due to the small areas we were moving through and no headphones used like other locations but overall a very interesting trip.

This is clearly a well presented and well thought out exhibit. It’s focus is the reality of Nazi and then Soviet occupation and oppression for Poles, Poland and Kraków residents, both Jews and Gentiles alike. It’s is vast, detailed, poiniant and confronting. What it is not, (and this is important to understand) is some sort of faux-Disney fairground attraction for movie buffs of the film Schindler’s List. This place is not s movie set, it is a memorial museum - and rightly so. If there is one drawback, that is the time that is allotted when taking a guided tour. There is a terrific lot to take in and everything is displayed thoughtfully in many languages, including English. While the English-speaking guide was excellent and very respectful of his topic, the understandable need to keep visiting parties moving meant we left feeling rushed. I would recommend visiting alone and foregoing guide intel over the ability to move at your own pace if you can read and understand Polish, German, Yiddish or English. That aside, this is a must-see site if coming to Kraków.

Was a very good informative tour on ww2 history in Poland. Would highly recommend. The only negative being too many people visiting at the same time. Perhaps the factory needs more limits visitor numbers .
