Chora is a medieval Byzantine church and one of the world’s most revealing religious sites.

This was a great experience. It's a group tour, but I was the only person with the guide, which made it that much better. It's a small museum, so without a guide, I think you'd miss most of the details of the mosaics and frescos inside the old church. My guide was extremely knowledgeable, and I could tell he had a passion for the history. He was also helpful in getting me back to my hotel, recommending the boat taxi down the Sea of Marmara back to the Old Town.
