You will enjoy a true authentic "truffle hunting", accompanied by an expert truffle hunter with dogs, through a typical Tuscan wood. This unique experience, suitable for small groups and privates, takes place in the beautiful hills surrounding San Miniato or the idyllic countryside of Certaldo.

Entering the wood is an exciting ritual, an indescribable mix of emotions and impressions: the scent of nature, the silence interrupted only by the sound of the wind rustling the leaves. During the truffle hunting, your guide will tell you about the traditions, history, and legends of this precious tuber.

After this wonderful experience, you will have a special truffle tasting: cured meats, “crostini”, local cheeses with marmalades, “tagliolini” pasta with raw truffle and dessert. Every single course will be served with a selection of different wines, produced in the typical Tuscan Fattoria where the truffle experience will be set.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Italy. My wife absolutely wanted to go Truffle hunting. I was a little skeptical, but boy was this fantastic! It was just my wife and I. A driver picked us up at our hotel in Florence Hotel Spadai and drove us about an hour to Certaldo Alto. We met Simone and his dad Luigi and their 2 dogs. We then walked through the woods for about and hour or so - it wasn't hard or taxing - the dogs ran wild. Simone explained that it was white truffle season and they are a little harder to find. It wasn't too long before one of the dogs started digging. We all gathered around and sure enough, she dug up a truffle. We found 4 that day. Simone was very personable, friendly and engaging. A great guy. Once we had the truffles, we headed to the medieval city of Certaldo Alto. Simone owns a small shop called L'Ovo d'Oro The Golden Egg and it is awesome! The front of the store is a little market and the back is a small cooking / dining area. When we got there, Simone's wife was cooking up pumpkin soup - the fire was in the fireplace and the table was set for 2 - my wife and I. We spent the next 2 hours talking and laughing and eating. Simone and his wife cooked and served us. They cleaned and sliced the truffles we found and we ate them. It was spectacular! Simone and his wife are delightful. Just kind, sweet people. We connected with them on a personal level and that made the trip so much better. We ate SO much food and it was outstanding. This is a perfect and intimate experience. Truly, truly memory making for years and years - we will never forget it! She even wanted us to blow out a candle for our anniversary! Perfect, perfect, perfect!!!
