Pickup from your hotel begins at 9am. Journey to the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center with your English-speaking driver. Arrive at this premiere conservation center for a first-hand look at the efforts being made on behalf of China's treasured Giant Panda. Learn how habitat destruction led to the panda being classified as endangered. Observe how the center has become a haven for rescued pandas and a leading panda breeding center.

Walk the serene paths through the panda base to see the Giant Panda. Be sure to refrain from loud or sudden noises that can be stressful to these gentle giants and the other animals. Remember that pandas and the other animals, that make their home here, are quiet by nature. Enjoy the beautiful bamboo hedges and other ornamental plants that are part of the panda's natural habitat. See the swans, peacocks, colorful-butterflies and other birds that make this place their home. Watch panda behavior, such as how they play with each other and care for their young.

Return to your hotel by approximately 1pm.
