Experimental Music Recording Session in Berlin

Your 3.5-hour musical Berlin experience begins when you arrive at this sound engineering and recording studio, located in the heart of the city’s Neukölln district — one of Berlin’s hippest neighborhoods, and home to artists, musicians, and other creative types. On Thursdays and Fridays, your session begins at 2pm; the rest of the week, things kick off at 6pm.

The recording studio occupies a characterful, refurbished former pharmacy. Meet the resident sound engineer who will tell you the story of the venue, play some audio samples for you, and introduce you to the city’s experimental music scene.

After your introduction, you’ll have the chance to give the studio’s surround sound system — known as an “acousmonium” — a try. Next, move to the studio’s basement space, where you’ll engage in a sound production session using different DIY instruments, objects, and equipment (all skill levels are welcome). After your recording session, you’ll be sent a download link for your sample.

The experience ends at the studio, where your host will share tips on cool neighborhood bars, experimental music venues and upcoming events in Berlin.
