This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Road, Huairou District, Beijing China

Your driver who speak English will meet you at the appointed time in your hotel lobby, usually with a sign with your name on it, so you can find your driver easily.

It's about 90-minute ride by private car from the downtown hotel to the parking lot at Mutianyu Great Wall, and the experienced driver will check the road on GPS to make sure the right one.

The driver will bring you to the map of Mutianyu Wall first. You will get a clear direction on the map with him. Cable cars run from the north entrance to Watch Tower 14th. The Toboggan or slide down run from South entrance to Watch Tower 6th. The driver will give you the different ticket after you decide which route to take.

After setting your route, when you go to bathroom the driver is already your tickets. Then walk with you to the entrance and return to meeting point to wait for you.

Usually tourist stay on Mutianyu Wall 2-3 hours,

Then take you back to where you want to go.

This tour of the Great Wall provides maximum flexibility. If you plan to visit other tourist attractions after the Great Wall or choose to finish at the Beijing airport, please inform the driver when you see the driver in the morning. If you have luggage in the car, please inform us in advance.

The driver knows everything about the restaurants near Mutianyu Wall. Please tell the driver what is your favorite food.

This basic English speaking driver can do everything you need except accompany you to the Great Wall to explain history, and it is much cheaper than hiring an English speaking tour guide in a day. Now, it is becoming the most popular way to visit Mutianyu Wall for foreign tourists.

Itinerary A:

30-60 mins walking on Wall 6th-8th Watch Tower, chair lifts up from south entrance to 6th Watch Tower, then Toboggan down same way.

30-60 mins walking on Wall 14th-16th Watch Tower, Cable car up from North entrance to 14th Watch Tower, then Cable car down same way.

Itinerary B:

Two hours hiking 14th -6th Watch Tower: Cable car up from North entrance to 14th Watch Tower, and Toboggan down from 6th Watch Tower to south entrance.

Itinerary C:

3 hours hiking: cable car up and down, round hiking between 14th and 23rd watch tower (it is Jiankou section Wall after 20th Watch Tower)

This was a perfect choice for a trip to the Great Wall. Martin, our driver, picked us up at out hutong hotel and expertly negotiated heavy traffic to get us to the wall where he had VIP privileges, meaning he could park in the closest parking lot. Martin purchased our tickets, explained the gondola and toboggan options for getting up and down and walked us to the gondola entrance. We were able to explore the wall on our own time and meet up with Martin at a convenient location. This was a perfect custom option that allowed us to leave for the Wall at a time that was convenient to us. We were well taken care of by Martin.

Marvin Xu was a magnificent host on the day of our trip. He was perfectly punctual and even got us to the airport after we finished the Great Wall early! He looked after getting our tickets at the entrance, showed us exactly where to go, gave recommended routes and we even got a free t-shirt and complimentary water. All in all, a perfect experience.
