Visit: Casa Mila - La Pedrera, Passeig de Gracia, 92, 08008 Barcelona Spain

Designed between 1906 and 1912, UNESCO-listed La Pedrera is one of Barcelona's icons, and was the last building that Gaudí worked on before he devoted his attention to La Sagrada Familia. Often called Casa Milà after the family who commissioned Gaudi to create it, the building’s official name translates as ‘the quarry’ in Spanish, and some of its most beautiful spaces are open to the public.

Armed with your skip-the-line ticket, head to Passeig de Gracia avenue, where La Pedrera is located. Admire its striking exterior, and then head straight inside, through the special entrance reserved for skip-the-line ticket holders. Collect your audio guide and explore the eye-opening interiors at your leisure. With audio commentary providing rich detail, you’ll come away with a deep understanding of the building and Gaudi himself.

Pass through the decorative lobbies and two courtyards of Passeig de Gràcia and Provenca with their swirling murals and mosaics, and hear how Gaudi designed them to optimize light and ventilation. Explore the Exhibition Hall, the former residence of the building’s owners, the Milà family. Take in original Gaudi features including the stair columns and then enter the La Pedrera apartment to learn about early 20th-century Barcelona and see a recreation of a Gaudi-designed, bourgeois apartment of the period.

Ascend to La Pedrera’s crowning glory: its roof terrace. Marvel at the corkscrew chimneys set against the sweeping backdrop of Barcelona, and visit the Espau Gaudi space in the attic-like upper story — an exhibition solely dedicated to Gaudi. Examine the models, photos and displays and learn all about his life, works and vision for the building.

After roughly 1.5 hours, your audio tour ends, leaving you free to leave or continue exploring independently.

I didn’t expect this tour to be so amazing. From the outside, the building looked just “odd” to me but the roof chimneys and then the interior were amazing. Such a great job with lighting and technology. Am easy and fulfilling way to explore one of Gaudi’s masterpieces at my own ice. I think my favorite “tour.” Sagrada Familia and Paek Gruel way too crowded and although lovely didn’t get the same sense of the artist as I wow we la Pedrera. Wonderful.

You got to go and see it to believe it. The roof is just like being in a Star Wars film, it's so obvious where George Lucas got his inspiration for Darth Vadar and The Stormtroopers helmets!!! A must.

La Pedrera officially known as Casa Mila is an amazing building. Skip the line lets you in quickly and the audio guide has a lot of useful information. I picked La Pedrera as the one Gaudi building to pay to see, and I'm very happy with my choice. You can explore it from lobby to rooftop without any extra charges. I loved the rooftop! Arches and chimneys and Catalan giants on a winding sloping surface with great views of Barcelona to boot! There's also the attic directly below with videos and models and a very interesting display of shapes found in nature that inspired Gaudi. Below that is an apartment as it could have looked in the period 1905-1910 with a short video of Barcelona during that time period.. My friend and I ended up spending most of our day there. The gift shops 2 are cool also. The lobby is beautiful.

This is a must see and the sky the line pass makes entry much faster. The audioguide quality is quite good.

Our favorite Gaudi building. Must see it. The audio tour is really good. Very organized tour with a lot of information.

Not the easiest to use audio guide but ok. Not much to see at ground level except the inevitable gift shop. Signage through the building and for each room could have been better. But nothing can take away from the splendour and imagination of Gaudi

A must see if you like Gaudi and his work..Amazing building and helpful audio tour.rooftop is spectacular.
