Before your tour, your private guide will contact you to discuss what you want to do and see on your half-day tour. Agree your itinerary or leave it open for your guide to lead the way. All entrance fees, food and drinks during your tour are at your own expense.

On the day, meet your guide at your Barcelona hotel, hop inside your air-conditioned vehicle and drive to the first stop. As you travel, hear fascinating tales about Barcelona’s history and architecture and some of the famous figures who have shaped the city’s past and present.

Perhaps start at Barcelona’s most iconic sight: La Sagrada Familia. This surreal-looking cathedral was designed by the late, great Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. Marvel at the famously unfinished masterpiece and hear how its construction, begun in 1882, isn’t due to be completed until 2026.

You may want to check out more of Gaudi’s mind-bending creations at Park Güell, with its playful ceramic sculptures and terraces. Or visit the stunning Casa Batlló or La Pedrera, otherwise known as the Casa Milà; two of his eye-popping decorative mansions on the Passeig de Gracia avenue.

Alternatively, focus on the older side of Barcelona. Drive to the atmospheric Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic), and stroll around the cobbled lanes to admire its Roman relics, medieval squares and 14th-century Barcelona Cathedral (Catedral La Seu). Continue to La Ramblas, the city’s colorful main shopping avenue with its tapas bars, street entertainers and flower markets.

If time allows, perhaps finish at Montjuic Hill, home to many of Barcelona’s 1992 Olympic arenas. Snap photos of the stadiums and soak up the awesome bird’s-eye views of the city from the summit.

After your explorations, your private tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

It was an excellent tour with our tour guide and her excellent driver. Since we had a limited time in Barcelona this was the perfect choice. It allowed us to taylor our sightseeing to what we wanted to cover.

I thought the tour guide was very knowledgeable, however, after reading all the reviews I was expecting the tour guide's English to be a bit better. He was fairly hard to understand and he even commented that he typically did tours for groups that spoke Spanish, so I'm not sure why he was assigned as our guide. Additionally, the Viator site specifically stated that the tour company would contact me in advance to discuss a customized tour, however, they didn't, so we basically just went only to the places that he wanted to take us as, again, it was too difficult to explain to him where we wanted to go due to the translation/language barrier.

Andrea was a fantastic tour guide. My husband had a bad knee, so we mostly drove, but stopped briefly for to get out and take photos. He was intensely knowledgeable and pleasant! We learned more about Barcelona in this 1/2 day tour than the entire rest of our trip. Loved the historic perspective of Barcelona's rich past.

Absolutely awesome! We had our own van for a family of 6. We had a driver AND tour guide who were so friendly and accommodating! They answered ANY question we had about Barcelona, Spain, Europe, etc and we had tons. They showed us all the main places we would want to see in Barcelona in a short amount of time. Any place we wanted to go they took us and translated for us as well. I would recommend this to anyone!!

The half-day private sightseeing private tour we booked through Viator really exceeded our expectations. Even though we only had 4 hours, we felt that we were able to see many amazing things and appreciated Sonias great guidance. The driver was also excellent and very professional. We were pleased that Sonia and her driver were at our hotel early and ready to start us on our tour. She allowed us to customize the places we wanted to go and offered advice as to what would be best to see with her and the driver versus seeing on our own later. Because she is a professional tour guide, she was allowed special access to the attractions. Sonias historical and societal perspectives were great for us as we learned more about the city. We felt welcome by her warm and genuine personality. We only wished we had booked a longer tour, but now we have a reason to come back and will certainly request Sonia!

Barcelona is a grand historic city that sol be on most persons tour list the highlight was the huge church Songrada Famlia by Goudi.acertified genius our tour guide knew the stories of this cathedral in fine detail She even pushed me in my wheelchai all over the church which had several significant ramps.kudos to this tour compny .many thanks
