Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 09:00 and depart for Tarangire National Park for a picnic lunch and game drive.
Duration: 10 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Zion Campsite or Sangaiwe Tented Camp or Similar

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, with an en-route game drive. Have a picnic lunch and a short afternoon game drive in Serengeti Park.
Duration: 10 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Seronera Campsite or Osinon Serengeti Tented Camp or Similar

Day 3: Full day at Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast full you'll have a full day in Serengeti National Park, with early morning, mid-day and afternoon game drives.
Duration: 10 hours

• Dinner
Accommodation included: Seronera Campsite or Osinon Serengeti Tented Camp or Similar

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Take an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, have brunch and depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim. There will be an en-route game drive.
Duration: 10 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Simba Campsite or Karatu Country Lodge or Similar

Day 5: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
Have an early breakfast, then descend onto the crater floor for game drive. Have lunch at hippo pool picnic site, then ascend to the rim and depart for Lake Manyara.
Duration: 10 hours

Meals included:

• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Jambo Campsite or Karatu Country Lodge/ similar

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Arusha

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
After breakfast, there will be a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Have a picnic lunch, then depart mid-afternoon for Arusha and a drop-off at your hotel.
Duration: 10 hours

I had an excellent safari experience. Saw 4 of the big 5 on the Serengeti in one day which can be difficult because of leopards are very reclusive. Saw 3 of the big 5 at Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire also in one day. Did not have the chance to visit Olduvai Gorge. The campsite for Lake Manyara was not up to the same criteria as at the Serengeti or Ngorongoro as it was located in town. I had private tour at Lake Manyara and Tarangire as I was the only one to sign up. There was some confusion as to which operator that I would be with because the operator is based in Kenya and hires local operators for Tanzania but everything worked out. Our guide was able to point out animals to far to see which allowed the group to see a couple of rhinos and a male and female lion.
